Epignosis CEO Participated in the 2nd Annual CII India Europe Business and Sustainability Conclave

Public-private sector collaboration between Greece & India aimed to develop strategies that foster innovation and advance workforce readiness.

Athens, Greece – Mar. 1, 2024 – Epignosis, a leading global learning software company, participated in the 2nd Annual CII India Europe Business and Sustainability Conclave that took place last week in many key cities across India. Epignosis CEO, Nikhil Arora, who joined the organization in Dec. 2023, was one of the 63 CEOs and industry leaders selected to accompany the Greek Prime Minister on his state trip to India. As part of the trip’s efforts to enhance collaboration and economic opportunities between Greece and India, Arora participated in the week-long discussions, attended the CII India Europe Business and Sustainability Conclave in New Delhi, and spoke at the India-Greece Business Forum in Mumbai and Bangalore, organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Enterprise Greece.

According to a recent Gartner study, 58% of the global workforce needs new skills to get their jobs done, which underscores the pivotal role of continuous learning in driving workforce readiness, business growth and economic progress. The modern workplace requires employee upskilling and reskilling at a rapid pace, highlighting the need for organizations to invest in affordable, scalable and accessible training solutions to remain competitive.

“There is a famous quote that says that literacy is not defined by the ability to read and write but the ability to learn, relearn and unlearn,” said Epignosis CEO during a fireside chat on stage  of the India-Greece Business Forum in Mumbai with Panos Karampinis, Managing Director of Endeavor Greece. “A common thing that Greece and India share is the hunger to learn. Similarly to India, everyone I’ve met in Greece wants to grow and learn and see how they can go on to the next level. This is very important for economic progress.”

The need for upskilling was one of the topics discussed during the roundtable discussion hosted by the Epignosis CEO in Bangalore, titled Navigating the Future of Work in the Era of Tech Disruption.

“In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, where technological advancements are reshaping industries at an unprecedented pace, it’s imperative for organizations to invest in employee upskilling and reskilling opportunities to remain agile and competitive in the market,” said Nikhil Arora in the roundtable that also involved Dr. Maria Chatzou Dunford, CEO at LifeBit, Panos Karampinis, Managing Director of Endeavor Greece, Kalia Konstantidou, Vice President at Empiria Group and Board Member at Enterprise Greece, and Karan Virwani, CEO of WeWork India. “By harnessing the power of innovative L&D programs, we can empower individuals to adapt and thrive in an AI-driven world, driving an array of benefits, including increased employee well-being, innovation and economic growth,” noted Arora.

Inspired by the 2024 Edelman Trust Barometer Study, the discussion explored the intersections of technology, workforce development, and public-private collaboration. Themes included fostering trust, addressing skill gaps, and promoting inclusivity amidst AI-driven transformations. The session aimed to develop actionable strategies for responsible innovation and collaboration, fostering sustainable technological advancement and enhancing workforce readiness across India, Greece and beyond.

Nikhil Arora brings over two decades of experience in the tech industry, with a proven track record of spearheading transformative initiatives aimed at driving organizational growth and fostering innovation. His commitment to fostering private-public collaboration underscores Epignosis’s dedication to creating synergistic partnerships that drive positive societal impact and contribute to sustainable economic development on a global scale.
